Hi, I’m Courtney—owner of Solidago Studios. My love for pressed plants began in 2019 during a Wetlands Ecology class at VCU. I created a collection of scientifically labeled and pressed wetland plants for my final exam grade. That project didn’t just inspire my environmental science degree; it sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore. After graduating in 2020, I bought my own plant press and never looked back. Since then, I’ve been combining my love of floristry and artistry to help others preserve their most meaningful memories.

With a background in painting and floristry, I’ve always been drawn to creative expression. At Solidago Studios, I’m honored to turn sentimental blooms—whether from weddings, celebrations, or memorials—into handcrafted works of art that you’ll treasure forever. Each piece is a labor of love, designed to capture the emotions and stories behind every petal.

Solidago Studios is based in Richmond, VA and I feel lucky to have such a wonderful city to call home. Being a small business in our modern world can be challenging, and our company strives to support other local businesses and remain as sustainable as possible.

When I'm not pressing flowers in my backyard studio, you can find me on a hike with my husband, Taylor, doing yoga, or baking sourdough. Whether I’m tending to my garden or carefully preserving your most cherished flowers, my passion for art and nature is at the heart of everything I do.
